Molding Operator
Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts open
Rate: $15 to $16 depending on shift
Overtime available
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Reports to work station and:
- Reviews the 'Operator Instruction Sheet' and the trim sample for that job.
- If the 'Operator Instruction Sheet' and/or the trim sample are not at the workstation,
notify the supervisor immediately. - Reviews molding machine performance with molding machine operator from
previous shift and checks for good housekeeping in work area.
- Operates the molding machine per established procedures.
- Trims, inspects, and packs quality finished parts per the process documentation.
- Collects and records prescribed data at appropriate intervals on required paperwork and/or machine controller system. (where applicable).
- Places scrap and regrind material in designated area.
- Grinds all regrind material when needed.
- Reports excessive scrap or molding machine problems to the supervisor and technicians immediately.
- Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
- Communicates problems or necessary information to oncoming molding machine operator.
- Completes all paperwork per established procedure.
- Operates machine controller system (where applicable).
- Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor.
